An ode to vintage Chanel 24k gold

An ode to vintage Chanel 24k gold

I've always been really particular about color. So when I fell in love with vintage Chanel, it wasn't the silhouette or the stitching that caught my eye. It was actually the hardware.

Contemporary handbags often favor cool tone metals, silvers, champagne golds, and maybe the occasional rosy gold. Modern Chanel has never quite aligned with my skin tone. Against today's cooler palettes, metals don't complement, they compete.

Somewhere along the way, that warmth slipped out of fashion, and cool tones became synonymous with sophistication. Finding that vintage Diana really changed that for me. In its 24 karat gold, I recognized something timeless.

A metal that didn't apologize for its richness, but it made me reflect on my need to constantly chase modernity. Real elegance has never been about the trend of the moment. It's about alignment between tone, texture, and your authentic self.

And that's why even when a bag is decades older than I am, it feels wholly mine.
