So you've bought your dream bag, and now you want to make sure it remains dreamy until the end of time. This guide's for you.
Which bags are this guide for?
This storage tip applies to any bag with chains that can sit on top of your bag. Examples: Chanel Dianas and Classic Flaps.

Original dust bags?
We don’t recommend long-term storage in the original vintage Chanel felt dustbags. They are far too tight! Instead, opt for a drawstring one like our house dustbag, Dustin.

Stuff the interior
Any bag that you plan to store long term should be stuffed. You can purchase a fluffy from us or stuff it with acid-free tissue paper.

Separate chain from leather
Don’t forget to pull out the chains and then store the bag on its side.

Why store bags on their sides?
Hard metal chains don’t play well with delicate lambskin. Keep them apart.
Be sure to rotate sides
If you do not use your bag very often, make sure you rotate sides from time to time to ensure even weight distribution.

Conclusion
Bag care shouldn’t be tedious, but a little goes a long way. The three key principles are: separate the chain, protect the exterior, and stuff in the interior. And... done!
