We are your trusted vintage luxury experts. You can find us (mostly online) as an independent retailer specialising in luxury vintage. We started selling authentic vintage bags on instagram before Tiktok made it trendy! 

On our website you'll find our items ready for purchase but we also source, supply, consult and advise collectors and stylists on luxury vintage. This includes everything from fashion items such as outfits to our favorite category, handbags!

We don't plan on opening any permanent stores (yet!) but we have love hosting pop ups in some of your favorite cities: Hong Kong, New York City and Singapore to name a few!

Our humble story begins in 2017, in Hong Kong, where our Founder is originally from. Our Founder first started collecting and blogging about her vintage Chanel Diana (you can still read our oldest posts on our blog). It then grew into an accidental, casual business called My Grandfather's Things or "MGFT". 

From Hong Kong, MGFT expanded into a second office, the sunny islands of Singapore. Having hosted its second ever international pop up in Singapore, MGFT maintains close relations with its top local resellers and continues to be one of the biggest providers in the vintage resale market in Singapore. 

In 2025, MGFT officially established its Japan branch, MGFT JP, with its trade offices in Asakusa, Tokyo and started to focus on sourcing from within the local Japanese network. 

As of 2025, MGFT officially became a holder of an official license issued by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department (License No. ------). Our business is registered as a resale operation, and we are registered within the Japanese network of licensed professional resellers.
