Hong Kong Pop Up II
After a two year hiatus and hosting around the world pop ups, we're back in our hometown of Hong Kong for our second (long overdue) pop up!
Location: 54 Sai Street, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong
Dates: Saturday 26 - Sunday 27 October, 2024
Time: 10:00am - 7pm Daily. Last entry 6pm.
Entry: free but the shop is TINY so expect a small wait
What to expect
Lots of vintage bags and lots of fellow collectors! Browse and purchase bags we have on display or bring your own bags in for an accessory fitting!
Vintage Furniture?
Our pop up will be showcasing some stunning mid-century modern vintage furniture. These will include Dordogne Chairs by Charlotte Perriand; the Frate Table by Enzo Mari for Driade; Coffee table from Flexform; lamps by Kare Design and Nemo Lighting and more!
These items are available for local Hong Kong delivery and also you can view their extensive catalogue of vintage furniture pieces in store.
House Rules
Please leave food, strollers, drinks, big bags and heavy items at home!
For physical pop ups, we operate on a first come first serve basis which means we don't allow for any reservations, holds, payment plans for items.
Snap as many photos as you want of bags but please ask any human if they would like to be photographed before proceeding to do so.
Live Schedule
We will be hosting one live sale in store at 9:00am HKT on Saturday October 27, 2024!
Returns
Items sold at the physical store will not be eligible for any refunds or exchanges. Please inspect the items carefully. We are not able to issue store credit.
How to enter
Walk in only! The store is really small and we will be implementing crowd control measures.
Our team has separately emailed our existing VIPs for their RSVP. If you are an existing customer who would like to attend, please email kristine@mygrandfathersthings.com.
Handling Items
You will be given a set of gloves before handling any bags. Please put these on before handling any handbags. You may be asked to wear an apron if your clothing has beaded or abrasive designs on clothing.
If you accidentally dent, scratch, mishandle any of our items, you will be asked to purchase the item.
Please take off all sharp jewellery before handling our bags and be responsible for all your personal articles.
Viewing Online Bags
Bags sold on our website, lives or social media may not necessarily be available for viewing in the store.
Payment
FPS or Bank Transfer HKD. No cash!
Credit card fees will be added on at 3.4% for all HK-issued credit cards. Foreign credit cards will incur fees of 6%.
If you make any purchases through our Lives, we will continue accepting our usual selection of foreign currency.
If we are not able to instantly confirm your payment at checkout, you will be asked to return the next business day or we will arrange for a separate pick-up time after the Pop-up.
