So you heard Tokyo is a heaven for vintage bag shopping, but you don't know where to start.
If that sounds like you, don't worry - I gotchu. This guide is for you.
Where should you buy vintage bags in Tokyo?
Let me do you one better. I will not only tell you where to buy a bag, I will also offer you insights through the lens of a professional handbag seller. Grab a cup of coffee, because this is going to be a long one.
In no particular order:
AMORE TOKYO
First up we have Amore Tokyo, the OG and extremely famous in the world of handbags both locally and internationally.
Amore is expensive but I would say their very obvious strength is in stocking some of the rarest high quality vintage pieces in the world whether that is Chanel or Hermès.
So if you are a collector definitely shop there.
.
VINTAGE QOO
Next up is another staple in the vintage scene, Vintage Qoo. Now in my mind they have a great selection of vintage bags, just like this beautiful square mini I'm holding.

Their clothing is a stregnth too - they have beautiful suit sets and I would say because their vintage bag selection is not as expansive as Amore, go for the jackets. So if you're after a specific year, a specific size, I think this would be the perfect place for you to shop.
KOMEHYO VINTAGE
A newer player in the same block as the big boys is actually Komehyo Vintage. Now Komehyo is not a newbie by any means to selling secondhand goods but this is their new concept store and they focus on vintage bags only.
I'm not gonna lie they're not quite there yet with the selection of unique vintage bags but I would say if you're looking for a classic vintage bag, I'm talking about you know the Dianas, the classic flaps, the half moons. They also have a really good selection of used bags in general so if you're looking for something like that definitely check them out.

CASANOVA VINTAGE
So on a different side of the area of Tokyo is Casanova Vintage and this is a unique vintage store in my humble opinion because it's one of the few actually targeting men, especially male customers who are more fans of like the streetwear style.
So that means that they not only have bigger sized bags but they also have men sizes for vintage clothing and they are absolutely great at marketing and collaboration so if you're a fan of certain artists especially certain rapper artists this is a store for you because they have so many cool collaborations.

PARADISE VINTAGE
In this area as well you will find Paradise Vintage and Paradise Vintage right now has some of the best visual merchandising and branding in the industry so if you want a beautiful store, a beautiful shopping experience, go and check out their store. In terms of bags they have a great selection of Hermès bags whether that is secondhand or vintage.
Their prices are not the cheapest but the shopping experience and the service is top notch so if you're after an Hermès bags I would go to them for sure.

VALEUR VINTAGE
So I have other special mentions in this area which you can check out, Valeur Vintage, and they have a beautiful but quite small store. Everything is so meticulously placed and staged. I am frothing at the mouth thinking of it.

So that's my quick guide on shopping vintage bags in Tokyo. Now wouldn't it be a dream for me to also add MGFT to that list here?
